10.00MHz @Carbon Steel
Steel is a metal with very high acoustic impedance, so a Very small amount of the sound energy will penetrate steel. However, the sound attenuation in steel is relatively low.
An 10.00MHz transducer is in the high frequency area for use in NDT. It works great for high resolution detection in metal and high quality CFRP. It is great for inspecting cracks, corrosion, adhesive joints, measuring thickness, and similar in metal. And it is great for high-resolution imaging of f.ex. impact of high-quality CFRP.
